The Export button does not appear. What should I do?
Refresh the page and confirm you are on a supported platform. Make sure the extension is enabled. If it still does not show, reinstall the extension.
What is AI Chat Exporter Pro and how does it work?
AI Chat Exporter Pro is a browser extension that adds an Export button on supported AI chat sites. It lets you save chats as PDF, DOCX, HTML, Markdown, TXT, CSV, or JSON with clean, professional formatting.
Which AI platforms are supported?
ChatGPT (chat.openai.com), Claude (claude.ai), Grok (grok.x.ai), DeepSeek (chat.deepseek.com), and Gemini (gemini.google.com).
What browsers are supported?
Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Firefox (recent versions).
Can it handle very long chats?
Yes. In testing, it has exported extremely long chats (20,000+ pages) in PDF and DOCX. If you ever hit limits, contact support and include console logs.
How accurate is formatting for tables, code, and math?
Tables keep a stable layout, code blocks remain readable, and math is processed via our KaTeX helper service when needed. We optimize for professional, print-ready exports.
How are images handled?
Uploaded and generated images are embedded whenever possible. If embedding is not available, we include reliable fallback links so nothing is lost.
It does not capture the full chat. What should I do?
Scroll to the very beginning of the chat, then scroll down to ensure everything loads, and export again. Auto-scroll is available in versions v0.65 and newer.
Does the extension send my chat data to external servers?
Only chats containing math (KaTeX) may be sent to our server for processing. No chats are stored. Everything else is processed locally on your device.
Why is AI Chat Exporter Pro free to use?
It is currently free while we actively improve stability and features. A paid version will be introduced later, and some features that are free today may move behind a paywall. If you want to support development, you can buy us a coffee.
